Under 8's Week will be held in Week 6 from 22nd to 26th of May. St Ambrose's uses Under 8's Week as an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions our youngest children make to the community.
We will be holding many fun activities and events for St Ambrose's students throughout the week. These include:
"Jump Off" - Jump Rope for Heart: students dress in red and demonstrate their skipping skills in support of the Heart Foundation.
Under 8s Fun Day: students dress in 'coastal' themed gear and participate in a multitude of activities! Some of these include: an animal farm, face painting, obstacle courses, a jumping castle, craft activities and much more.
National Simultaneous Story time: we will read 'The Cow Tripped Over the Moon' by Tony Wilson and engage in related activities at the same time as thousands of other Australian schools.
Bush Dance: students will dress in their finest country threads and get ready for some boot scootin' line dancin' action in the Bolton Centre on Thursday night.
Watch this space for photos of the events or follow us on Facebook! For St Ambrose's parents, click here for more information about the week.
All proceeds from the week will be donated to the Mark Hughes Brain Cancer Foundation. Our school has a close affinity with this cause as one of our past students, Amy Pointing, battled this disease for many years. On Thursday of the Under 8's week, we will wear beanies in support of Brain Cancer Day.
We are proud of our students and all the hard working teachers, parents and other volunteers who are making this week possible! Thank you St Ambrose's community.
