Japanese at St Ambrose’s School
At St Ambrose’s School, students from Prep to Year 6 enjoy learning Japanese as part of our Languages program. Through engaging lessons, children are introduced to the Japanese language and culture in ways that spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
Learning a second language offers many benefits for young learners. It helps strengthen memory, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills while building listening and communication abilities. Just as importantly, language learning fosters an open-mindedness that encourages children to value and respect cultural diversity.
By exploring Japanese traditions, celebrations, and daily life, students at St Ambrose’s School gain a deeper awareness of the world around them and an appreciation for cultures beyond their own. This global perspective enriches their learning journey and supports them to become thoughtful and active citizens.
