At St Ambrose's School the community of teachers, parents and other children work together to instil a sense of pride and strong community within the children.
The Staff is a team which, at its core, has a passion for and a commitment to ensuring that the children’s daily experience of school is not only quality teaching and learning but one that gives life; living and celebrating by example the heart of gospel values.
Parents are encouraged to be involved in the life of the school to ensure the children come to appreciate and understand by example, the value of community.
The children of St. Ambrose's are the 'gems' who remind us of all that is good and precious in life.
We are a Catholic Primary School that educates 294 children from Prep to Year 7. We have 201 families contributing to our school community.
As a school, we aim to provide the children with a variety of skills that allow them to become self-directed life-long learners.

Welcome to the first term of a new school year.
To all new families and to our caring community we offer the warmest of welcomes. We hope
that any smouldering embers of regret about the passing of the holiday period will soon be
extinguished by the renewing of old friendships and the making of new ones.
We all know that children receive the best education when parents and teachers work as a
team. Parents’ enthusiasm, support and involvement are integral to the success of our school as
are the skills, dedication and professionalism of teachers. Together, staff and parents can
provide educational excellence for every student, so that they can achieve their potential.
Together, we can support one another to provide a friendly learning environment and, when
appropriate, celebrate their achievements.
We hope that throughout the year, our school will be a place where staff, students and families
have opportunities to experience God’s presence in our lives. During the Pupil Free Days, staff
spent time reflecting on the Habits of the Heart and how they fit into the fabric of our school
through our everyday actions. As parents and staff we all need to ensure we are modelling these ‘Habits’ in our actions towards each other. It is amazing what children will copy from adults!
For this sentiment to continue throughout the year, it will require our collective wisdom and
generosity of spirit to be at the forefront of all our communications.
