At St Ambrose's School the community of teachers, parents and other children work together to instil a sense of pride and strong community within the children.
The Staff is a team which, at its core, has a passion for and a commitment to ensuring that the children’s daily experience of school is not only quality teaching and learning but one that gives life; living and celebrating by example the heart of gospel values.
Parents are encouraged to be involved in the life of the school to ensure the children come to appreciate and understand by example, the value of community.
The children of St. Ambrose's are the 'gems' who remind us of all that is good and precious in life.
We are a Catholic Primary School that educates 294 children from Prep to Year 6. We have 201 families contributing to our school community.
As a school, we aim to provide the children with a variety of skills that allow them to become self-directed life-long learners.

BOOK WEEK 2016
St Ambrose will be celebrating this exciting event from Monday 29th August to Friday 2nd September. The theme for 2016 is Australia! Story Country. Book Week is when we celebrate the love for books and reading, in particular books by Australian authors and illustrators.
As part of our celebrations all students will have the opportunity to attend a musical "Fair-Dinkum" in the Bolton Centre on 29th August. A note has been sent home to parents. A special event for the students will be the Book Character Dress Up Day to be held the last day of Book Week - Friday 2nd September. All students may dress as their favourite book character or wear clothing related to the theme - it would be great to see our students embracing our wonderful Australian children's literature and dressing up as their favourite character from an Australian story.
The Annual Book Fair will be happening concurrently in the library. Books supplied by the Book Warehouse will be displayed in the library and will be available for sale from Monday 29th August to Thursday 1st September. The hours for the Book Fair are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8am to 3:15pm then on Thursday 8am to 12noon. This is the annual library fund raiser and we look forward to seeing parents, grandparents and friends coming to offer support.
